- Select a target behavior
- Document Behavior (checklists, anecdotal notes, referrals, behavioral incident logs)
- Analyze behaviors
- How intense is the behavior
- Where does the behavior occur
- Where does the behavior not occur
- Who does the behavior occur with
- How long does the behavior occur
- Determine the function of the behavior
- Avoid/ escape or gain access
