Tier II Overview
When schools have a solid foundation of Tier 1 SW-PBS systems, data, and practices for all students, planning may begin for Tier 2 systems, data, and practices. Tier 2 provides targeted small group interventions for up to 15% of students who are at-risk for negative social, emotional, and/or behavioral health outcomes.
The purpose and key features of Tier 2 include the use of data to identify students who are at risk for difficulties. Interventions should prevent the development of problems and also decrease the frequency or intensity of problem behaviors, thereby minimizing their impact. Standardized interventions that support student needs are continuously available, and data is used to monitor progress and make decisions. Evidence based practices often often include universal screening and individual and samll group interventions
Evidence-based Tier II Interventions include:

This is an excellent excel document you can use to track student progress while participating in CICO. Easily input student information. On the workbook page where you can input their information each day, there is a graph that is automatically displayed. The spreadsheet automatically tells you the percentage for the day so you can quickly give feedback to students. This system makes preparing for meetings a breeze and allows you and the student to look at a visual representation of their behavior DAILY!

When using this sheet, remember to:
- Always save the form under another name with an identifier for the student such as NMCICOsheet2019-2020
- Be aware of the formulas embedded into the sheet so that these are not deleted or erased.
- This form is only has space for 1 month at a time. A new tab can be created in the workbook (bottom of the page) for each subsequent month of data tracking.
- It might be easier to have a desk top folder and save multiple copies of
the spreadsheet inside. When you title them just put the name of the
student it is tracking.
